Ox Notes: April 28, 2008

In order to accommodate twelve dances, tonight's Dancing with the Stars Performance Show has expanded to 98 minutes.

According to Tony Dovolani's MySpace blog, he and Marissa Jaret Winokur will dance the Rumba and Tango tonight (thanks for the tip, Marina). Marissa writes for US Magazine that she'll miss palling around after the show with Marlee Matlin.

Brandon, who won the most recent round of the Ballroom Kids Competition on DwtS, said that he couldn't hear the judges when they offered their critiques: "I was just watching Brittany and whenever she nodded yes I said yes thank you." Brandon & Brittany will return on May 13 for the final round of competition, with the winners to be announced on May 20.

TV Grapevine has an interview with DwtS pro Alec Mazo, who's promoting his and wife Edyta Sliwinska's website, DancingPros.com.

Entertainment Tonight recruited another DwtS pro, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, to give an engaged couple some dance lessons before their wedding.

Survivor host Jeff Probst opened up about his personal life to USA Today. He does give one semi-spoiler in the interview, regarding something that was teased in last week's episode, so be warned.

It had to happen eventually. Production company FremantleMedia is developing a dating reality show that utilizes Facebook and MySpace.

Given how hard I struggled to suppress the urge to sing at top of my lungs when "Wake Up" came on at the gym this weekend, you could say I'm a little excited that singer Hilary Duff could wind up on the new Beverly Hills, 90210 spinoff.

Kathy,

Thanks for mentioning my interview with Alec over at Grapevine. We didn't get to mention it in the piece, but Edyta's website went live over the weekend, and looks wonderful. For anyone that would like to visit, you can check it out at www.edytasliwinska.com. Take care!

Fondly,
Sharon (tinkcrzy1972 from Grapevine)
